The Reproductive System is a flexible collective of Bay Area based musical maestros led by guitar player and vocalist Jimmy Leslie. Members of Galactic backed him on his CD Surfin the Swamp, and he has shared the stage with many special players including Papa Mali, Luther Dickinson, and the Honey Island Swamp Band. His writing appears in Guitar Player and Bass Player magazines each month.
The Reproductive system is capable of conjuring up a variety of styles from greasy funk, to cool blues, blistering rock, and laid back in the pocket grooves. “My Funkey Valentine” is finely crafted batch of sexy, groovy, love makin’ music. Expect to hear tunes such as Hendrix’s “Little Miss Lover,” the Meters’ “Just Kissed My Baby,” and Leslie’s own “Constant Kiss.”
